Chamber Scholarship Recipient

The Broadway Timberville Chamber of Commerce annually supports education with a $500 scholarship to a Broadway High School senior. This scholarship is based on leadership, academics and community involvement. We are pleased to announce that Beth Carole See was selected to receive the Broadway-Timberville Chamber of Commerce scholarship. She will receive $500.00 payable to the school of her choice. Beth is the 18 year old daughter of Malcolm and Kathie See of Criders.

While in high school, Beth posted a 4.2 grade-point average, was editor of the school newspaper, served on the Student Advisory Committee and was president of the Foreign Language Honors Society, her favorite extracurricular activity.

In her spare time, she enjoys “JAG” a CBS show and vintage clothing from the ‘30’s and ‘40’s.

In September, Beth plans on attending Roanoke College, where she will major in Spanish and international relations. After that, she would like to go to law school and pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer. She attributes her interest in law to her father, a former deputy with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.
