The Broadway /Timberville Chamber of Commerce joined with the Broadway-Timberville Ruritan Club to host the 2005 26th House of Delegates Seat candidate forum. The forum was held at the Plains District Community Center August 8th. Both candidates, Lowell Fulk and Matt Lohr spoke.

The purpose of the forum is to create awareness of both candidates and to give them a chance to discuss their plans for the future. The forum will also give the community members a chance to ask the candidates how their plans will affect the local community. The event will be structured to provide the candidates time to discuss their important topics relevant to the local area. The Chamber's first candidate forum, held last year for the Timberville Town Council candidates and Mayoral candidates, was a huge success. More than sixty people attended and voter turnout increased ten fold.
